In an effort to promote good nutrition and healthy living, Nestlé Middle East has launched the "Eat Right Live Well" campaign - an initiative that is aimed region wide at empowering families to make healthier food choices through increased awareness of good nutritional habits and practices.
"’Nestlé 'Eat Right Live Well’ seeks to spread the principles of Nutrition, Health and Wellness - the cornerstones of Nestlé's strategic direction - by channeling our worldwide expertise in nutrition research into a focused initiative that contributes to general public health," said Raef Labaky, Communication Director of Nestlé Middle East. "The campaign draws on Nestlé's world-leading expertise in nutrition research and product development and brings together several of the company's nutrition-focused programs under a single umbrella to benefit consumers around the region."
This is the largest initiative of its kind that has been launched by Nestlé in the Middle East. "Eat Right Live Well" kicked off with a major promotional campaign by Nestlé at leading stores and outlets throughout the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. The main theme of the promotion is "Win Your Way to Healthy Living" and provides shoppers with an opportunity to win valuable prizes designed to encourage them to embark on a healthy lifestyle - such as diet packages, gym membership, Nintendo Wii Sports, Polar watches, pedometers, and BMI calculator, among other items.
Karine Antoniades Turk, Nutrition, Health & Wellness Manager at Nestlé Middle East, said, "Nestlé offers a range of high-quality pleasurable foods that help meet the nutritional needs of consumers at different stages of their life. In complementing these well-trusted products with practical and actionable information on nutrition and lifestyle through multiple delivery channels, we seek to empower families to make meaningful changes in their everyday routine and lead a healthier life."
When I think of food in the Middle East, I feel they already get it when it comes to healthy, fresh food. They have pita bread, hummus, tabouleh, all light, delicious and healthy choices.
It’s great that Nestlé has launched this initiative to promote exercise and physical activities as well as what defines high quality consumption.
